  • Let’s celebrate the arrival of Spring on Friday, 20 March 2026, at R1 – 501

    Let’s celebrate the arrival of Spring at afestive and friendly dance party, open to CERN personnel and their families, on Friday, 20 March 2026, at Restaurant 1 – Building 501

    Immerse yourself in a Spring Vibes – Flower Power atmosphère: colorful, positive and full of energy, combining live music, DJ sets and shared moments.

    Programme :
    6:00 pm – 8:00 pm: live music (CERN MusicClub)
    8:00 pm – midnight DJ set, live singer and saxophonist, with dance floor.

    A photobooth will be available to capture the moment.

    Food and drinks will be available throughout the evening!

    The event will be fully cashless (no cash payments).

    The goal of this event is to bring something new, encourage social interaction, and offer a relaxed and convivial moment to the CERN community.

    The new programme of activities from the Social Services for Seniors, covering the period from February to June 2026, has just been released. It includes numerous courses, workshops and activities. Cité Seniors and the neighbourhood centres offer a wide range of activities that allow you to learn or train, entertain yourself, meet people, take care of your health and improve your digital skills.
    Registration is open on 19 and 20 February, from 9am to 5pm, at Cité Seniors. We look forward to seeing many of you there!

    A new year is beginning, and with it, activities are resuming at Cité Seniors and in the neighbourhoods.

    In the programme for the first half of 2026, available from mid-January, you will find many suggestions to help you develop your creativity or cultural knowledge. Reading, singing, dancing, literary walks, film club, concerts, photography: there is something for everyone.

    Don’t miss the open day on 17 February at Cité Seniors: breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea will be offered depending on the time you arrive.

  • Invitation to a meeting of the Directorate with the CERN community 16 December at 10:30

    The Director General organises a meeting with the personnel on 16 December 2025 at 10:30. She has autorised access to the retransmission to the retirees.

    This broadcast should therefore be accessible to all retirees having linked their CERN account with an external one (e.g.   gmail.com, outlook.com, hotmail.com, laposte.fr, etc…) before their departure.

    The https://indico.cern.ch/event/1621529/ should be used and authenticated via the « External email – Guest access » link.

    The Webcast should then be accessible by clicking the “Watch” button.

    To be noted that this is still an experimental procedure and its success therefore cannot be completely guaranteed. Please send a mail to GAC-EPA (office.secretariat@gac-epa.org) for questions or access issues.

    PS: the procedure can be tested as of now, but the “Watch” button will only work as of Tuesday.

    We apologize for this last-minute announcement to those of you who do not have Guest access. A procedure will be published by the GAC-EPA in early 2026 outlining how to obtain a Verified Guest Account for those who do not already have one.

  • STELLAR: A Voyage Across the Universe, 19 July 2025 from 4 pm to midnight at the Science Gateway

    STELLAR will bring together world-renowned scientists and Nobel Laureates, including Samuel Ting, Barry Barish, Takaaki Kajita, and Michel Mayor, alongside astronauts such as Chris Cassidy, Meganne Christian, Matthias Maurer, Paolo Nespoli, and Luca Parmitano.

    Talks – Meet the astronauts – Music under the stars, etc..
